The Eternal Question

Do you often ask yourself "Why can’t I get pregnant!?" or “When can I get pregnant?”

 

I asked myself this same question month after month. I thought I was doing everything right - I tried relaxing more, not thinking about it so much, I exercised more, I saw specialist after specialist, but still I wasn’t pregnant.

 

Every month would end in the same heartbreak.  The tears would flow no matter how hard I tried to stop them.  No matter how much I tried to be positive, I’d spend two weeks of every month imagining that every little twinge my body made was different to last month, and that they were signs that I was pregnant... that this month was my month...

 

Only to have that month - like every preceding month, end in devastation.

 

But I am not a person to give up easily. My friends had all found easy ways to get pregnant.  I would ask “How hard is it to get pregnant” to which the usual answer was  “just lie back and enjoy it”.  But it didn’t work for me).

 

Eventually I gave up on the “experts” I had unsuccessfully plagued for many months with the same old questions - “When can I get pregnant” and “I want to get pregnant quickly, how can I”?  You guessed it - same old junk replies!  They knew I was having trouble getting pregnant, but didn’t seem to care.

 

So I set about digging up everything I could find about getting pregnant naturally.  And what I discovered over the next twelve months of intensive research into easy ways to get pregnant really surprised me, but most of what I discovered about the difficulties women experience just angered me.

 

I was angry when I found out that some things I had been doing in my efforts to get pregnant fast were actually working against my goal of getting pregnant - quickly or not! I was very angry after discovering that the hundreds of dollars I’d paid out to a ‘pregnancy specialist’ were for half-truths at best!

 

But I’ll never forget the day I found out something that absolutely sent me over the edge.

I discovered something so devastating to me that it angered me to a point that I don’t ever want to experience again. Worst of all, I had done it during a month when I really thought I was pregnant... my period was late, I had all the symptoms,  but then I had a late heavy period.

Had I been pregnant? I don’t know for certain. If I was pregnant could what I had done have caused a miscarriage? Well yes it could have! I realized that if I didn't know about this potentially devastating mistake, there was probably much else I didn’t know too! From that moment on I was a changed person.

 

I went from a women who just wanted a baby, crying: “when can I get pregnant?” to a determined investigator intent on unearthing every fact on what to do to get pregnant.

What Your Specialist Isn't Telling You...

Why wouldn't your fertility specialist, naturopath, pharmacist or even your doctor tell you what I will? It's simple; each practitioner has their own limited knowledge base when it comes to getting pregnant.

Guess what happened then? I realized that not only did these practitioners have limited  knowledge, they also didn't want me going and investigating other fields! Why? The pain, tears and heartache I felt month after month were unbearable. It upsets me to this day that I spent so long living in a state of constant anguish.
